2026 a Year of the Word

https://youtu.be/aiiet1lje5M

1/16/26 “The Year of the Word” When Holy Spirit gave me the message for 2026 I thought great this is a simple and straight to the point message.  After all we all do need the Word of God, Scripture. In just the first two weeks of the new year, I realize that it is a mandate; an assignment.

I personally know that I really need more time studying, meditating, reading, ingesting, living by, applying and sharing the Bible truths. Yes, Scripture tells us to study the Word (2 Timothy 2:15) there is nothing new about that. Holy Spirit began to blow on this and open up its importance. Moment by moment we are being bombarded with a diabolical plot from the pit of hell. The goal of the plot is to distract from Scripture (the revealing of Jesus Christ).

The pulpits are being consumed with public opinion, the opinion and attention of man, social media content, going viral, likes/follows/share and subscribes. The church is under violent attack and Believers are sounding less like the Lord of the Bible and more like localized gossip columnist. There is a widespread spirit of accusation and condemnation. Much of it is delivered in the form of exposing false teachers. While this is important we cannot allow the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be watered down, mishandled, discounted, and fragmented to meet the personal agenda of those who are being used by Satan to distort the truth. As followers of Christ, what we do, how we act, how we respond (even in social media comments section—I’m convicted) really matters. When you consider your identity in Christ, do you look sound and act like who you say you are?

It is vital that we take personal responsibility to read the Bible and ask Holy Spirit to help us understand and show us how to apply it. This is a call to honor the ministry and work of Holy Spirit in our lives and on the earth today.

Every born again believer has a ‘call’ to fulfill. In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus instructs us: “19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” NIV

So, here is the message for 2026: (Copied from my facebook page)

Happy New Year

2026 “Year of the Word”

2026 “Year of Personal Absorption”

Absorb/Absorption

*To take in or soak up

*Take up the attention of

*To ingest and consume

I pray that we are blessed with the determination to absorb the Word of God and the Bible. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Personal Absorption is the process of you absorbing the Written Word. Jesus is the Living Word. Making time to sit with Holy Spirit and give our attention to the Word.

A year where EVERYTHING must flow from the Word!

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

John 16:12-Jesus said, “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13-However, when He (Holy Spirit), the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”

2026 the year we develop a more intimate relationship with God where everything will flow from the Word ♥️

I pray that we remain mindful that “Everything must flow from the Word of God”. That requires us to know the Word. To be actively learning and living it. To be intentional in sharing it through our daily life. To remember Who we represent and never minimize who we are called to be. We are lights, lights are created to shine and illuminate dark places and spaces. We are lights used to stand out and to bring clarity. We are living epistles….showing up whether face to face or in these social media streets. We are living advertisers and marketing experts pointing people to Jesus.

The year where everything flows from the Word of God is a time of being dedicated to the God of the Bible. A flow is a steady stream. I pray that we keep desiring a more close fellowship with God; where the written and living Word is our foundation. The thing that centers and anchors us. Where our story matches His story and we are living testimonies to the transforming power of God and His Word.

“We are living epistles” means that Christians’ lives should be like open letters, clearly showing the transforming work of Christ to the world, written not with ink but by the Holy Spirit on their hearts, serving as powerful recommendations and testimonies of God’s grace and power, as described in 2 Corinthians 3:2-3. It emphasizes that believers’ changed character and behavior are a tangible, readable message of the gospel for everyone to see.

Key concepts:

  • 2 Corinthians 3:2-3: This is the foundational scripture, stating believers are “our epistle, written in our hearts, known and read by all men”.
  • Letters of Recommendation: Our lives serve as endorsements for Christ and His ministry, proving the gospel’s power to transform.
  • Written by the Spirit:

The message isn’t superficial (ink on stone) but internal and powerful, written by the Spirit of God on “tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart”

.

  • Read by all: A Christian’s life should be clear and legible, demonstrating who they are in Christ through their actions, words, and character.
  • Authenticity: The message is about inner transformation becoming outward evidence, making faith evident to believers and non-believers alike.

In essence, it’s a call for Christians to live lives that visibly and undeniably reflect Christ’s presence and message, making them “letters” for the world to read daily. (Retrieved Google/AI)

My goal is not to give a word that’s soft on the ears. I pray that this word reaches the people and the areas of your life that need it. We need to sit with the Word and let it do what it has been created and preserved by God to do; to transform our lives.

Food for thought to meditate on:
